Toastmastering and Parenthood
To raising kids need lots of energy, money and patients; meanwhile you will get lots of feedbacks.
Just like Toastmasters Club, you gain what you give and of course, no pay no gain. Whether you will become a great speaker / communicator is totally depends on how much efforts you invest in. from them as well.
Three weeks ago, Talun and I celebrated our twins’ ( Linda Sung and Sharon Sung) one year old birthday. I wish I could use the communication/leadership skills which I learned from my 10- years Toastmastering experience to educate my girls. To become their best friends and to pass my love to them by leading them to develop their own life.

l Though we postponed the joint meeting with Excellence so members could meet Mr. Mark Hunter, 2009 World Champion of public speaking, and listen his speech “The journey to the world champion of public speaking”. Many members of both Grand & Excellence joined this event. It is an very inspiring speech and they all feel that it is worthwhile. Click to view photos
Club Officer Announcement 會務通告
l Grand will move to a new venue. Starting from December 7, we will move to a new venue: Room 801 of Zhongzheng Public Assembly Hall Click to view map中正公民會館. It locates in the exit #5 of Shandao Temple Station, Taipei MRT. The meeting time will also be changed to 1st & 3rd Wednesday every month due to the availability of meeting venue. We hope that the new venue can provide club members a cozier environment and more convenient traffic with less expense. We apologize for the inconvenience it may cause to some members for the change of the meeting time & venue.
Meeting Minutes (11/17):
The joint meeting with Excellence Toastmasters Club is full of laughter. The variety session hosted by Theresa of Excellence is fun. Erin asks “If you are a rookie in your office, what will you do?” The two prepared speakers from Excellence took the assignment just one day before, and they all do a good job. We are impressed by the leadership and spirit of support of Excellence TMC. We cheer with new wine Beaujolais. This is the last meeting we will have in NCTU. We share many good memories in this place. We will move to 中正公民會館next meeting..
