President’s Message 會長碎碎念
"Erick sent me a touching email while he was enjoying the sunny San Diego. He reminded me the meaning of TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More! Yes. We are a TEAM. I'm lucky that I'm the president of the club with excellent members and great culture. I'm thinking what I can improve form last meeting. Of course, the answer is many things. I care about not only your advice, but also your feeling and health. Summer is a really amaizing season with lot of sunshine. Be sure protect from sunburn, wearing sunglasses and drink adequate water during outdoor activities."

The first officers meeting called upon by May was successfully completed last Saturday. The venue is great and the meeting is so organized. All participants could tell that May put a lot of effort to prepare for this meeting. Not even mentioning the delicious food, the pizza and cake are awesome! Thank May for everything in the meeting. After the splendid brainstorm and communication, the agenda for Grand in the coming year was established. Also, many great ideas were developed to make Grand even more prosperous. The officers meeting is no doubt successful and full of joy.

Meeting Minutes (July 18, 2012):
The meeting this evening is the debut of Jenny serving as Toastmaster of the Evening. All through the meeting started a little bit late, it still went smoothly. Every member could tell Jenny put a lot of effort to prepare for this meeting. Through few members couldn’t make it to join the meeting, the meeting still went well. We have good coordination to extend the table topics session by the effort of Jimmy Chang, table topics master.
Billy Chen is the biggest winner at this meeting. He collected both ribbons of “The Best Humor” and “The Best Table Topics Speaker”. Our two prepared speakers delivered two splendid speeches. It’s great to witness our high flyer Sharen’s improvement. Furthermore, Erin has finished her A10 speech. Congratulations!
Jimmy Wu gave constructive opinion to our speaker as usual. And so did Helen. But we didn’t vote for the best speaker and the best individual evaluator because there were only two speakers in each session. In the following, Joel gave us many useful reminders. Mr. Wright is not only Erin’s Mr. Right but also our grammar teacher Mr. Right.
Also, we had two old friends coming back to the meeting, Frank and Abel. And it’s definitely good to know Abel will attend the meeting more in the future. The first meeting in this term, really gave us a warm-up and pleasure. I can’t wait to join the next meeting.
