President’s
Message 會長碎碎念
Time flies. The flowers are turning red 鳳凰花開 in the
campus. It’s time to say goodbye for students who graduate from school. It's hard to imagine that it has been one year
after my inauguration of being the president. And it is time for me to “graduate”
from this post.
From having President Anxiety Syndrome at
the beginning, I worried about everything, no one would come for the
meeting, no one would take assignment and no one likes me, to the nomination of
next office. It is you, the Grand
members, give me the strength to keep going.
Your full support makes Grand a warm family. In the election of new club
officers, everyone voluntarily adopts the jobs in Grand's family. Everyone
wants to contribute their effort to serve the club. Everyone shares jobs in Grand. Grand will grow stronger under the leadership
of new officer team. It is the happiest
moment of me and I am really proud of you.
Being a club officer is a valuable training process of
leadership. I appreciate to have such
opportunity to worry about you, to think about you, to respect each of you and
care each of you that makes me grow.
Thank you Grand.

willing to serve as an officer.
Erick Suen encouraged us to serve as an officer. Learning by
doing. Through it, we can learn the 2nd track ~ Leadership
Skill, in Toastmasters program. President Gina Cheng also motivated all the
coming officers “You are the one learn the most when you serve the most.”
Jimmy Wu was conducted a heart by-pass surgery. All the
members wrote their best wishes on a greeting card for praying him to recover
soon. Gina said: “We are family.” We take care of every member. The quality of
the meeting: participation is 80%, then 20% the meeting itself. Tonight we have
high meeting quality because of high participation rate. (Erick Suen)
The 4 prepared speakers and 4 Individual Evaluators were all
excellent. We enjoyed a wonderful meeting.
