Words from New Members 會員小語
It’s so amazing to rejoin Grand this August. Due to working abroad, I couldn’t have attended
its regular meetings for a long while. However, after 7 years I still have the exactly same feeling about
the Grand. It’s just like a warm and pleasant family. How wonderful!

Having the opportunity to know the great family Toastmasters club should be one of the luckiest events in my life of 2011. Especially I decided to join Grand Toastmasters Club.
We make friends under the natural English environment every other week. I feel warm when members support each other. We are more than members, we are family.
I have confidence to continually improve in every aspect of Toastmasters. Furthermore, I, definitely, would like to be a lifelong volunteer and grow up with Toastmasters.

l Grand will move to a new venue. Starting from December 7, we will move to a new venue: Room 801 of Zhongzheng Public Assembly Hall 中正公民會館. It locates in the exit #5 of Shandao Temple Station, Taipei MRT. The meeting time will also be changed to 1st & 3rd Wednesday every month due to the availability of meeting venue. We hope that the new venue can provide club members a cozier environment and more convenient traffic with less expense. We apologize for the inconvenience it may cause to some members for the change of the meeting time & venue.
Meeting Minutes (09/15):
In this meeting we had 16 members and 1 guest. Everyone got a chance to speak up on the stage. New member Brian Wu took the challenge to be Joke Session Master; he invited members to bring their jokes to share with us in advance to warm up the session. In Table Topic Session, session master Joel Wright brought several coins, each coins was made in different years. Members drew one coin and told us their stories based on the year that coin was made. It’s like we all took the time machine back in times, brought out many wonderful memories. In Prepared Speech Session, speakers shared with us different ideas, such us Mask told us how to say NO; Yolanda shared with us her personal touching story, remind us to spend time with our beloved family; Yvan delivered a wonderful story about her auntie with a surprising ending; Piao-piao gave us tips about how to take care of cats. This evening, speakers practiced their speaking skills, and for the audiences, we enjoyed the ideas/stories from the speakers very much! J Meeting photos: September 15 photos
