l 11 Grand’s members joined the Division H Christmas party held on December 17. Grand’s Russian Folk Dance “Kalinka” had become the hottest spot of that night. Click to view Christmas Party Click to view Rusian Folk Dance Click to view Youtube video Click to veiw another video. But this does not come from nothing. The dancing squad had spent a lot of time and effort in practicing that made them the outstanding dancers. Click to veiw rehearsal of dance We want to thank our member Roy who provided costumes he bought in Moscow. We want to also thank our regular guest Piao for joining the dancing squad. Member of Formosa TMC Peggy Chang & the sister of Gina, they help to reproduce the dancing costumes. The duplication was so perfect. Even Roy cannot tell which on is the copy one. Of course, without Sherry Li who organized the team and trained the dancers, there will be no such an outstanding performance.

l Our guest Jenny Chen decides to join Grand as a member. She is preparing her ice breaking speech. Erin Ke, CC, will be her mentor. Welcome aboard Jenny.

Meeting Minutes (11/17):

Our last meeting was the first time for me to visit our new venue and I found it quite cozy and inviting, I think it an appropriate size for our club. Even though we will of course grow bigger because all the guests who have come in the past will end up joining our wonderful club, we will still have the room to accommodate everyone!

The meeting itself was a very good one. It had a very "Christmassy" feeling to it, even right down to a small tree and blessings meticulously prepared by Sharen. Gina conducted a very nice Impromptu session where everyone got the opportunity to exchange blessing with other members. We all got the opportunity to hear Sharen's Ice breaker speech "Eat, Pray. Love", which was a very good effort for a first speech. Erin also had a good speech "The best revenue Officer of the Year". We all celebrated Victor's birthday as well with a nice big Blackforest Chocolate cake! All in all a great meeting, great atmosphere all controlled smoothly and effortlessly by our first time TOE Yolanda! Once again, Season’s Greetings to all! Cheers! Joel
